Jose Fonte: 'I've moved on from Pablo Osvaldo training ground bust-up'

Jose Fonte says that he has "moved on" from his training ground bust-up with Southampton teammate Pablo Osvaldo.

Southampton defender Jose Fonte has insisted that he has "moved on" from his training ground fight with teammate Pablo Osvaldo.

The controversial Argentina-born forward has been suspended for a fortnight by the Saints after instigating a fight with Fonte last week.

The 30-year-old was roundly cheered by the crowd during last night's 2-2 draw with Arsenal at St Mary's when he emerged to display a black eye as a result of the altercation.

"What can I say, I'm fine," The Independent quotes Fonte as saying. "It has been eventful obviously and what happened wasn't nice at the training ground, but I am man enough and I have moved on and I hope everyone can move on and focus on what is important which is Southampton, the club and winning games of football.

"There is no problem with me, I am fine, so I just want to keep playing."

Due to Osvaldo's antics, reports have claimed that the forward could be on his way out of Southampton.
