Goals from Benjamin Moukandjo and Florent Zitte see Nancy get the better of Sochaux 2-1 away from home.

Nancy have given themselves a fighting chance of avoiding relegation from Ligue 1 this season with a 2-1 away victory over Sochaux.

The visitors took the lead as early as the seventh minute from the penalty spot. Loïc Poujol handled the ball inside his own penalty box and Benjamin Moukandjo made no mistake from 12 yards.

Sebastien Puygrenie could have doubled his side's advantage just two minutes later, but his header from close range was saved.

Florent Zitte did make it 2-0 to Nancy five minutes from the half-time interval when he fired in from outside the Sochaux 18-yard box.

Sochaux stepped up their game in the second half, with Giovanni Sio putting the Nancy defence under pressure time and again.

However, they failed to construct anything substantial until the third minute of injury time when Sloan Privat scored from just yards out.
