Silkeborg square off against Fredericia on Sunday in what is the second game of the Danish Superliga.
With both of these teams suffering defeat in their opening fixtures, there will be a real determination to put things right at JYSK Park.
Match preview
Having put together a similar league record to Brondby last season, Silkeborg would have had high hopes of starting the domestic campaign on a positive note.
Instead, Kent Nielsen's side succumbed to a 3-0 reverse at the Danish giants, seeing them end the first weekend of the season bottom of the table.
With that defeat coming on the back of a 4-1 defeat in a friendly to St Pauli, Silkeborg's backs were firmly against the wall when hosting Icelandic side Akureyri in the first leg of their Conference League second qualifying round tie on Thursday.
Conceding a 91st-minute equaliser to draw 1-1 against the European minnows would have not helped the mood at JYSK Park, even though the extra minutes in the legs may prove beneficial.
Although there will be no over-reaction, Nielsen will recognise the importance of getting back on track here, particularly against one of the newcomers to the division.
Federicia sealed promotion to the top flight through a second-placed finish in last season's Danish First Division, only missing out on the title by one point to OB.
Michael Hansen's side are naturally expected to suffer relegation back to that league, yet they provided an encouraging showing in defeat last weekend.
Although they went from taking a first-minute lead against Nordsjaelland to trail 3-1 after 36 minutes, they were competitive throughout before succumbing by a 3-2 scoreline.
Pushing last season's fifth-placed side to the limit can only give them confidence ahead of this match, even though they have suffered defeat in five of the last six games against Silkeborg.

Team News
Nielsen must decide whether to freshen up his starting lineup given the importance of the trip to Iceland next week.
Jens Martin Gammelby, Jeppe Andersen and Sebastian Biller all appear in contention to be brought into the first XI, with Pelle Mattsson potentially being handed a rest.
Meanwhile, Jakob Jessen and Patrick Egelund helped Fredericia produce an improved second-half showing against Nordsjaelland after their introductions from the substitutes' bench.
Egelund also scored towards the end of the game, but Hansen would need to change to a two-man attack to bring him into the team alongside Gustav Marcussen, who also netted in the first fixture.
Silkeborg possible starting lineup:
Larsen; Gammelby, Busch, Ganchas, Montano; Al Hajj, Andersen, Freundlich; Adamsen, Biller; Simmelhack
Fredericia possible starting lineup:
Ejeheri; Dahl, Rieper, Kudsk, Crone; Opondo, Jessen, Winther, Madsen, Simonsen; Marcussen
We say: Silkeborg 2-1 Fredericia
As it stands, it remains to be seen whether Silkeborg's outing in midweek will help their cause here. Given that they have had home advantage on both occasions, we are anticipating that they will still have enough in the tank to secure a hard-earned victory to kick-start their season.
