Fleetwood Town midfielder Keith Southern joins Shrewsbury Town

Shrewsbury Town have completed the loan signing of Fleetwood Town midfielder Keith Southern.

The 33-year-old joined the Cod Army from Huddersfield Town last summer, but he has only made three appearances for Graham Alexander's men.

As a result, Southern has been granted permission to spend the remainder of the campaign with the League Two Shrews.

The former Blackpool player is expected to go straight into the squad for this coming weekend's clash against Stevenage.
