Danny Mayor joins Bury

Bury boss Kevin Blackwell has completed the signing of Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Danny Mayor on a season-long loan deal.

The 22-year-old, who has previously enjoyed loan spells with Tranmere Roves and Southend United, has been linked with a number of clubs this summer.

However, Bury have swooped to land the winger, who came through the youth ranks at Preston North End before joining Wednesday last season.

It is not yet clear whether the deal includes a possible future transfer.
