David Prutton signs new deal

David Prutton has committed his future to Sheffield Wednesday by signing a new contract with the club.

The midfielder was due to become a free agent at the start of next month when his previous deal would have expired.

However, following talks with manager Dave Jones, the 31-year-old has decided to sign on at Hillsborough for another 12 months.

Prutton, who has also played for Nottingham Forest, Southampton, Leeds United, Colchester United and Swindon Town, joined the Owls in May 2011.
