Goalkeeper Tomas Mejias makes his Middlesbrough debut in their Championship clash against Sheffield Wednesday.

Tomas Mejias makes his Middlesbrough debut today in the match against Sheffield Wednesday.

The goalkeeper, who joined Boro on loan from Real Madrid, replaces Shay Given, who has returned to Aston Villa following the completion of his loan spell.

Lee Tomlin is still waiting for his first start, however, as Boro boss Aitor Karanka goes with Danny Graham as a lone striker.

Wednesday have Atdhe Nuhiu on the bench, while Reda Johnson is out after failing to recover from injury.

Sheffield Wednesday: Kirkland; Palmer, Loovens, Onyewu, Mattock; Maguire, Hutchinson, Maghoma, Coke; Lavery, Best

Middlesbrough: Mejias; Friend, Butterfield, Woodgate, Varga; Whitehead, Chalobah, Omeruo, Adomah, Kamara; Graham
