New date for abandoned Sheffield Wednesday-Wigan Athletic match

A new date has been announced for the abandoned Championship match between Sheffield Wednesday and Wigan Athletic.

It will now take place on Tuesday, February 11 at 7.45pm.

Last Wednesday's match at Hillsborough was called off because of heavy rain in South Yorkshire, with Wigan leading 1-0 at the hour mark when referee Keith Stroud decided that conditions were unplayable.

Wigan manager Uwe Rosler said that referee Keith Stroud made the correct call even though his team were ahead.
