Half-Time Report: Henri Lansbury puts Nottingham Forest ahead

Henri Lansbury scores shortly before the break to give Nottingham Forest a 1-0 lead over Sheffield Wednesday.

Henri Lansbury has headed Nottingham Forest to a 1-0 lead over Sheffield Wednesday at half time in their Championship match at Hillsborough this afternoon.

The hosts looked to catch Forest out with a quick break inside the opening couple of minutes, as Stevie May tried to pick up a Liam Palmer delivery, but Michael Mancienne was back to make the clearance.

Summer signing Britt Assombalonga tried to continue his goal-scoring run for the visitors, but Keiren Westwood managed to get down low to make the save.

After a quiet spell, Wednesday started to threaten again when Jacques Maghoma curled a dipping effort towards goal, but Karl Darlow tipped it over.

However, it was Stuart Pearce's men who took the lead shortly before the break, as Michail Antonio picked out Lansbury, leaving the striker to head into the far corner.

Atdhe Nuhiu came close to setting up a quick equaliser for the Owls when he tried to link up with Chris Maguire, but the latter drilled the ball wide.
