1860 Munich want Johannes Ertl

German club 1860 Munich are keen on signing Sheffield United defender Johannes Ertl before the transfer window closes, according to Sky Sports News.

The 29-year-old recently returned to action with the Blades following a cruciate ligament injury.

Munich have been alerted to the fact that his contract is due to expire in the summer and are said to ready to test United's resolve with a cut-price bid.

Etrl joined United in 2010 following a two-year stint with Crystal Palace.
