Unai Emery not expecting busy month

Sevilla boss Unai Emery hints that he will not be too active in the January transfer window.

Sevilla boss Unai Emery has admitted that he will only dip into the transfer market this month if he can improve his squad.

The Europa League holders are currently fourth in La Liga – just two points behind third-placed Atletico Madrid with a game in hand.

However, despite their lofty position in the table, Emery has hinted that he will not attempt to boost their top-four challenge this month.

"Anyone who does come in must improve the squad and be aware of our needs. Despite this, I have no need [to sign anyone]. I think we have enough solutions already here," Emery told reporters.

Sevilla have won 11 of their 17 league games this season.
