Sevilla and Borussia Monchengladbach have failed to break the deadlock in the first half of their Champions League group stage match at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan.
The La Liga side came close to taking the lead after just five minutes when winger Vitolo hit the Monchengladbach post after receiving the ball from Jose Antonio Reyes.
Roel Brouwers had an opportunity to put the visitors in front just one minute later, but didn't connect well enough with Ibrahima Traore's cross and watched his header pass wide of the post.
Traore himself then had a chance to shine after a lay-off from Raffael, but his shot was also wide of the mark with 15 minutes gone.
Looking for his second goal of the season, Sevilla striker Kevin Gameiro had two chances after 30 minutes, but a diving header found the side netting while a volley close to goal was blazed over.
