Michael Collins signs on at Scunthorpe United

Scunthorpe United midfielder Michael Collins has agreed terms on a new one-year contract with the club.

The 30-year-old, who has been dogged by injuries in recent years, made 33 appearances for the League One outfit last season.

There were fears that an ongoing Achilles injury could force the former Republic of Ireland youth international into retirement, but a new contract has quelled such claims.

Collins has made 69 appearances during his time at Glanford Park.
