Rezek: 'It was a penalty'

Czech Republic striker Jan Rezek says it was a penalty, and not a dive, which earned his side a 2-2 draw against Scotland in their Euro 2012 qualifier at Hampden Park on Saturday.

The 29-year-old went down in the box under the challenge of defender Danny Wilson, but replays showed there was little, if any, contact between the players.

The result leaves Scotland with a slim chance of reaching the 2012 finals.

"I'm not saying the contact was big or that it was a harsh foul, but it was there and it put me out of balance slightly. I simply waited for the contact," he said

"I haven't read the papers and have never been popular with fans, so I don't care at all."

Scotland host Lithuania on Tuesday, while the Czechs' next match is at home to Spain on Friday, October 7.
