Huntelaar rubbishes United reports

Schalke forward Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has dismissed reports linking him with a move to Manchester United.

Huntelaar, whose current contract expires at the end of next season, has suggested that he would be willing to extend his deal in Gelsenkirchen after manager Horst Heldt's announcement that he would like to keep the striker at the club.

Meanwhile, Schalke could be looking to cash in on the Dutch striker should the two sides fail to agree a deal.

"I know nothing of alleged interest from Manchester United," he told Voetball International. "I will not even speculate, I am concentrating fully on Schalke.

"I'll let any offers come to me quietly and will then see what happens. This is the attitude I've always had.

"My contract runs until the summer of 2013. If [Schalke] want to talk, I'll gladly listen."

The former Real Madrid man has scored 15 goals in 16 league appearances for the Bundesliga side this season.
