Sao Paulo sign Ganso from Santos

Sao Paulo have completed the signing of Santos midfielder Ganso on a five-year deal.

The Brazilian, who has moved for a fee believed to be around £7.5m, could not hide his delight at moving to his new club.

"I'm very happy, a fulfilled wish. Since Sao Paulo showed interest in signing me, I wanted the deal to happen quickly," said the 22-year-old.

"I thank the interest from other clubs, but Sao Paulo moved me. Now that everything worked out, I can't wait to give back on the pitch.

"Everything was done the correct way and I can say today that I'm very happy for joining Sao Paulo."

Ganso has won eight international caps for Brazil.
