Henrique close to QPR switch

Sao Paolo forward Henrique is reportedly close to a loan move to Queens Park Rangers.

After paying an initial fee of £400,000, Rangers will have the option to buy the Brazil Under-20 international for £5m at the end of the season, according to Lancenet.

Henrique was voted the Player of the Tournament during Brazil's Under-20 World Cup-winning campaign last year.

New QPR manager Mark Hughes is also hoping to bring in Chelsea defender Alex during the January transfer window.

The Loftus Road club made an improved £3.5m bid for the centre-back on Friday.
