Sampdoria confirm Walter Zenga arrival

Sampdoria have confirmed that Walter Zenga will be appointed as the new manager of the club.

Sinisa Mihajlovic had been in charge for the past 18 months, but he departed the Blucerchiati following the end of their Serie A campaign.

They have now moved quickly to bring in former goalkeeper Zenga, who spent two seasons at the club during his playing career.

Zenga's most recent managerial role came at Al Jazira last season.
