Sampdoria see off Udinese in hot-tempered game

Three red cards as Sampdoria beat Udinese

Ten-man Sampdoria scored a goal either side of half time to beat nine-man Udinese in a fiery Serie A game this evening.

The home side took the lead after 15 minutes when Eder was brought down by Udinese keeper Ivan Keleva in the area and he himself stepped up to score the spot kick.

Referee Paolo Mazzoleni was handing out plenty of yellow cards and Udinese's Allan received his second and marching orders after just 35 minutes to make Udinese's hopes of a comeback slim.

Eder scored his second of the match soon after the break to double the hosts' advantage, poking home after collecting a through-ball from Angelo Palombo.

It was 10-a-side on the hour mark when Sampdoria's Roberto Soriano received his second yellow card before Gabriel Silva saw red for also being booked again.

Three points sees Sampdoria leapfrog Udinese and pull five points clear of the drop zone.
