Sampdoria confident of Samuel Eto'o stay after Sinisa Mihajlovic dispute

Sampdoria confident of Eto'o stay

Sampdoria director of sport Carlo Osti has claimed that the dispute between head coach Sinisa Mihajlovic and Samuel Eto'o has been resolved.

Mihajlovic accused the Cameroonian of a lack of respect after the forward stormed out of a training session, and reports had suggested that his future was in doubt just days after his move from Everton.

However, the Serie A club have been keen to play down the incident, which took place in the wake of Sampdoria's 5-1 defeat to Torino.

"Everything has absolutely been sorted out. The case is closed, everything is OK, and when I say that it means it really is OK," Osti told reporters.

Sampdoria return to action against Sassuolo on Sunday.
