Barcelona identify Mauricio Pochettino and Ronald Koeman as potential successors to under-fire manager Quique Setien, according to a report.

Barcelona have reportedly identified Mauricio Pochettino and Ronald Koeman as potential successors to Quique Setien in the Camp Nou dugout.

Setien's future with Barca had already been called into question after La Blaugrana relinquished their La Liga title to Real Madrid in the most recent campaign.

Speculation surrounding the manager's future has only intensified after Barcelona were torn to shreds by Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter finals, ultimately losing 8-2 to the German champions on a pitiful evening for Setien's players.

Now, Barca are said to be accelerating their search for a new head coach, and according to ESPN, Koeman and Pochettino are both in the conversation.

Koeman has been in charge of the Netherlands since 2018 and spent six years with Barca as a player between 1989 and 1995, notching up 264 appearances and 88 goals for the La Liga giants.

Meanwhile, Pochettino is still looking for his next managerial role after being sacked by Tottenham Hotspur last November.
