Manchester United are reportedly planning to use Harry Maguire as a makeweight in a move for Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite during this summer's transfer window.

Branthwaite, 21, has been one of Everton's best performers during a tough campaign, and his form at Goodison Park is believed to have attracted attention from a number of leading European clubs.

Man United are expected to move for a couple of centre-backs this summer, as Raphael Varane and Jonny Evans are both out of contract at the end of June, while Victor Lindelof could potentially depart for the right price.

Branthwaite is thought to be the club's leading target, although it is believed that Everton value him in the region of £70m.

Barcelona are reportedly keen to move for Liverpool's Darwin Nunez this summer, viewing the Uruguay international as the ideal replacement for Robert Lewandowski.

The Catalan outfit's head coach Xavi recently refused to rule out a summer departure for Lewandowski, with the 35-year-old's future the subject of much speculation.

The Poland international has scored 24 times in all competitions this season, in addition to contributing nine assists, while he has another two years left to run on his contract at Camp Nou.

However, Barcelona are under pressure to make some sales this summer, and Lewandowski's exit would also see a large salary removed from the wage budget.

Manchester United are reportedly 'still waiting' for offers to arrive for Antony, with the Red Devils yet to receive a 'concrete approach' for the Brazil international.

Antony, 24, has struggled to have an impact for Man United during the 2023-24 campaign, only managing three goals and two assists in 36 appearances in all competitions.

The forward scored his first Premier League goal of the season in last weekend's 1-1 draw against Burnley, and he could keep his spot in the XI for Monday's game with Crystal Palace, as Marcus Rashford remains unavailable for selection due to injury.

However, it is believed that the club are keen to move on the big-money arrival from Ajax when this summer's transfer window opens for business.

Manchester United will reportedly miss out on the chance to sign Real Madrid centre-back Nacho this summer, with the Spaniard said to be preparing to continue his career in North America.

The 34-year-old has been an important player for Real Madrid during the 2023-24 campaign, making 39 appearances in all competitions, benefiting from long-term injuries to Eder Militao and David Alaba.

Nacho's contract at Bernabeu is due to expire on June 30, though, and he is widely expected to end his long association with the capital giants in order to seek a new challenge.

A recent report claimed that Man United were keen on the Spaniard, with the Red Devils expected to be in the market for a couple of new centre-backs during the summer market.
