Ross County move away from drop zone with Partick Thistle win

Ross County moved three points clear of the drop zone in the Scottish Premiership with a 1-0 win against Partick Thistle at Victoria Park.

Craig Curran gave the home side the lead after the half-hour mark when he headed home a corner, and the win moves them three clear of bottom-placed St Mirren.

Partick thought that they had evened things up when Lyle Taylor converted from close range, but the striker was in an offside position.

The visitors' hopes of getting back into the game took a hit when Kallum Higginbotham was dismissed shortly before the hour mark for a poor challenge on Michael Gardyne.
