Daniele de Rossi thrilled with "perfect night"

Roma midfielder Daniele de Rossi has expressed his delight after finding the net in the club's 3-1 victory over Empoli this evening.

The Italian midfielder, who was making his 500th appearance for the Giallorossi, headed in the second goal to help the Rome outfit on their way to a third straight league win.

"It's the perfect night, especially to score a goal, which doesn't happen to me very often," he told Sky Sport Italia.

"We've only done really badly on corners in one match. It's strange that we scored on a corner today when we fielded the seven dwarves!"

Roma are currently second in the Serie A table, one point behind leaders Fiorentina.
