Nolan Roux's second-half goal was enough to give Lille a hard-earned 1-0 victory over bottom side Sochaux this evening.

Despite the gulf between the teams, the Ligue 1 strugglers matched their opponents for large parts of the match.

However, Roux found the net with 15 minutes to play as the visitors remain in the hunt for European football.

Meanwhile, the defeat has kept Sochaux bottom of the table.
