Saturday's Major League Soccer predictions including San Jose vs. Los Angeles

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Major League Soccer fixtures, including San Jose Earthquakes vs. Los Angeles FC.

NY Red Bulls vs. Cincinnati (Saturday, 11.00pm)

Having recently ended a run of five games without a victory, New York Red Bulls welcome FC Cincinnati to the Red Bull Arena on Saturday night.

Meanwhile, the away side make the trip looking to return to winning off the back of a share of the spoils in their most recent involvement.

We say: New York Red Bulls 2-1 FC Cincinnati

The teams have shown that they have a lot of attacking firepower all-season long so we expect goals at both ends here. We are also tipping New York Red Bulls to come out on top in the end, albit by only a narrow margin.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Montreal vs. New England (Sunday, 12.30am)

CF Montreal can close the gap between themselves and first place in the Eastern Conference of Major League Soccer when they host the New England Revolution on Saturday at Saputo Stadium.

The Canadians have points in six consecutive matches, and are currently five points behind the Philadelphia Union with a game in hand, while the Revs are unbeaten in five successive fixtures and are a point above the playoff line in sixth.

We say: CF Montreal 2-1 New England Revolution

Both of these teams have been vulnerable on the back end, though we are giving Montreal the edge as they have found a way to overcome that deficiency throughout the campaign, plus they will have a few more days rest in between games compared to the Revs.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Minnesota Utd vs. Austin (Sunday, 1.00am)

Minnesota United have an opportunity to stretch their unbeaten run at Allianz Field to seven consecutive matches in all competitions as they welcome Austin FC to the Gopher state on Saturday.

The Loons have picked up at least a point in eight of their previous nine MLS affairs, while the Texans are unbeaten in three straight league games, coming back to beat Sporting Kansas City 4-3 last weekend.

We say: Minnesota United 2-1 Austin FC

Despite the depth of Austin, Driussi is still the player that makes them tick and without him against a well-organised Minnesota defence on home soil, combined a hot goalie who seems to have regained his confidence, we expect the Loons to maintain their strong play and come out on top this weekend.

Inter Miami vs. Toronto (Sunday, 1.00am)

A massive three points will be up for grabs at DRV PNK Stadium on Saturday as Inter Miami and Toronto battle to climb above the playoff line in the Eastern Conference of Major League Soccer.

The Herons trail their state rivals Orlando City on goal difference for that final postseason spot, while TFC have put themselves back in the mix for a place in the top seven, going unbeaten in their previous five league fixtures.

We say: Inter Miami 1-2 Toronto

The significant big game experience of Insigne, Bernardeschi and Criscito has been invaluable to this Toronto team, and we expect the Reds to play with a greater sense of urgency in this one, knowing that they have virtually no room for error at this stage of the season.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Colorado vs. Houston (Sunday, 2.00am)

Seeking to snap their run of four consecutive defeats in the MLS, Houston Dynamo take a trip to the Dick's Sporting Goods Park where they face Colorado Rapids on Saturday.

The home side were denied a third consecutive win for the first time in 12 months last time out and will head into the weekend seeking to quickly return to winning ways.

We say: Colorado Rapids 3-1 Houston Dynamo

Last week's defeat was a bump in the road for the rejuvenated Colorado Rapids and we expect them to come out guns blazing in search of a comeback. They take on an out-of-sorts Houston side who have lost seven of their last eight away games in all competitions. We are tipping the Rapids to come away with all three points this weekend and heap more misery on the visiting side.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Salt Lake vs. Vancouver (Sunday, 3.00am)

Real Salt Lake and the Vancouver Whitecaps each have a chance to distance themselves from the teams behind them as the Major League Soccer playoff race intensifies when these sides face off at Rio Tinto Stadium on Saturday.

The Caps hung onto a 2-1 victory against the Colorado Rapids in midweek, vaulting them into the final playoff spot in the Western Conference, while Claret and Cobalt are four points above them in fifth after beating the Seattle Sounders by that same score.

We say: Real Salt Lake 2-2 Vancouver Whitecaps

The Caps are playing Claret and Cobalt at a good time as Salt Lake have lost a bit of confidence at home lately, though with things so tight in the Western Conference at the moment, neither side should have a decided edge this weekend.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Earthquakes vs. Los Angeles (Sunday, 3.00am)

Two sides in contrasting form go head to head in the MLS as San Jose Earthquakes play host to Los Angeles FC at the PayPal Park Stadium on Saturday.

While the visiting side will be seeking to pick up a seventh consecutive league victory, the Earthquakes head into the weekend aiming to snap their run of seven games without a win.

We say: San Jose Earthquakes 0-2 Los Angeles FC

Los Angeles FC will be licking their lips as they go up against a San Jose side who have struggled for form in recent weeks. Cherundolo's side head into the game on a superb run and with sky-high confidence, and we are backing them to claim all three points on Friday.

Our tipster partners are predicting an away win.
