Oscar's first-half strike helps Real Valladolid make a winning return to La Liga action following a two-year absence.

Real Valladolid have claimed their first La Liga victory since May 2010 by narrowly overcoming Real Zaragoza at Estadio La Romareda.

Midfielder Oscar scored the game's only goal in first-half stoppage time, latching on to Omar Ramos's through pass before powerfully smashing home from eight yards.

The hosts improved after the break but, despite Helder Postiga and Apono going close, they failed to find an equaliser.

Next up for Valladolid is a home match against Levante on Monday, August 27.
