Real Salt Lake have moved three points clear at the top of the MLS Western Conference with a 1-0 victory over Montreal Impact.

Paulo's 13th-minute penalty was enough to secure the points at the Rio Tinto Stadium.

The referee pointed to the spot when Justin Braun handled in the area following Will Johnson's headed attempt.

The win was Salt Lake's fourth win in five games this season and they now face the Colorado Rapids on Saturday.
