Borja Valero would welcome Sami Khedira

Fiorentina midfielder Borja Valero would welcome Real Madrid's Sami Khedira at the Italian club amid reports linking the World Cup winner with a Serie A switch.

Fiorentina midfielder Borja Valero has said he would welcome Sami Khedira at the Italian club.

Khedira has been linked with a move away from Real Madrid this summer following the signing of Toni Kroos.

Talk of a move to the Premier League has dominated the speculation, but Fiorentina are believed to have joined the race for the German international, who is apparently a target for Chelsea and Arsenal.

"Anyone who left Madrid would be a superb signing and a great addition for us," he told AS.

Valero was part of the Fiorentina team that beat Madrid 2-1 in a friendly on Saturday.
