Real Madrid attacker 'agrees' new long-term contract at Bernabeu

Real Madrid attacker Arda Guler has reportedly come to an agreement with the capital giants over a new long-term contract.

The Turkey international made the move to Bernabeu from Fenerbahce in the summer of 2023, and he has represented the capital giants on 116 occasions, scoring 19 goals and registering 26 assists.

Guler has scored once and provided one assist in four La Liga appearances this season, but he missed the Champions League clash with Inter Milan on Tuesday night through suspension.

Real Madrid head coach Jose Mourinho is a huge admirer of Guler, who has started three of the team's four league matches this season.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Guler has come to an agreement with Real Madrid over a new contract which will run until the summer of 2032.

Romano claims that 'all conditions have been accepted', with an announcement from the capital giants set to arrive in the near future.

Guler has scored six times in each of his three full seasons at Bernabeu, but he will be expecting to better that tally during the current campaign.

The 21-year-old is set to return to the Real Madrid squad for Saturday's La Liga clash against Rayo Vallecano.

Real Madrid will be expecting to launch a strong challenge for the La Liga title this season, in addition to targeting success in the Champions League.

Which Real Madrid players are out of contract in 2027 and 2028?

Four of the club's first-team players are out of contract next summer, and it remains to be seen whether they continue at the club in 2027-28.

Brahim Diaz, Thiago Pitarch, Thibaut Courtois and Antonio Rudiger only have contracts with the capital giants until the end of the campaign.

Meanwhile, Aurelien Tchouameni, Rodrygo, Bernardo Silva, Eder Militao, Jorge Cestero and Ferland Mendy have contracts until the summer of 2028.

Real Madrid have three more league matches against Rayo, Elche and Atletico Madrid before the first international break of the 2026-27 season.
