Girona vs. Real Madrid: Predicted Los Blancos XI for La Liga showdown

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti could make three changes to his side for Saturday's La Liga clash against Girona.

Vinicius Junior, Eduardo Camavinga, Eder Militao, Dani Carvajal and David Alaba will once again miss out for the reigning champions, but the team did not suffer any fresh fitness issues during their 2-1 defeat to Athletic Bilbao on Wednesday night.

There is one more absentee, though, with Rodrygo a late withdrawal from the squad.

Brahim Diaz and Ferland Mendy could potentially come in for Dani Ceballos and Fran Garcia, while Arda Guler is likely to benefit from Rodrygo's absence.

Raul Asencio has been the main beneficiary from Militao's season-ending knee injury and will continue in the middle of the Los Blancos defence alongside Antonio Rudiger.

Jude Bellingham is a certain starter this weekend, while there will once again be a spot in the XI for Kylian Mbappe, who continues to face criticism for his form this season.

Mbappe missed a penalty in the defeat to Athletic, and he took to social media after the clash at San Mames to issue an apology.

The France international has still scored 10 times and registered two assists in 20 appearances for Los Blancos this season, but he has largely struggled to show the type of form that made him one of the standout players in world football at Paris Saint-Germain.
