Reading youngster loaned to Perth Glory

Reading midfielder Ryan Edwards has joined Australian A-League outfit Perth Glory on a season-long loan deal.

The 19-year-old, who made nine League Two appearances for Fleetwood Town towards the end of last season, has yet to make his senior debut for the Royals.

However, he is expected to gain plenty of first-team experience while at Perth, who are managed by his father Alistair Edwards.

Edwards has two years remaining on his current contract at the Madejski Stadium.
