Reading striker Noel Hunt says that the players will fight to improve their league position.

Reading striker Noel Hunt has insisted that the club will fight to retain their Premier League status this season.

The Royals are bottom of the league, six points from safety and will be bottom at Christmas.

However, Hunt says that the squad are in it together and will not give up.

"They were a couple of soft goals to give away but we're not blaming anyone - it's down to all of us," he told the club's official website.

"We know we weren't at our best but we're working hard on the training ground. We all discuss it and talk but there's no finger pointing.

"We know what we've got to do, we know we're right in the middle of it but we're willing to fight. We can't give up, that's for sure."

Reading's next game is away against Manchester City on Saturday.
