Rangers 'want to re-sign Steven Davis'

Rangers are reportedly interested in re-signing Southampton captain Steven Davis this summer.

Davis, 33, made over 150 appearances for Rangers during a six-year spell with the Scottish giants earlier in this career.

The midfielder, who won three Scottish league titles during his time at Ibrox, has since made over 200 appearances for Southampton - including 25 in all competitions last term.

Davis only has 12 months left to run on his contract at St Mary's, however, and according to Sky Sports News, Rangers boss Steven Gerrard wants to bring him back to Scotland in this summer's transfer window.

The Northern Ireland international missed the tail end of the 2017-18 campaign with a hamstring problem.
