Team News: Scott Allan on bench for Hibernian

Hibernian midfielder Scott Allan, who is said to be a transfer target of Rangers, starts on the bench in the Scottish Challenge Cup tie between the two teams.

Hibernian boss Alan Stubbs has named midfielder Scott Allan on the bench for his side's Scottish Challenge Cup tie with Rangers.

The Glasgow giants are reportedly interested in the 23-year-old, and Stubbs has made the decision to leave the former West Bromwich Albion man out of his starting lineup.

However, there is a first Hibs start for 18-year-old midfielder Scott Martin, who made three substitute appearances last season.

Rangers manager Mark Warburton, who moved to Ibrox earlier this summer, has handed debuts to seven new signings.

Wes Foderingham, James Tavernier, Rob Kiernan, Danny Wilson, Jason Holt, Andy Halliday and Martyn Waghorn have all been included in the Gers team for the fixture at Easter Road.
