Rangers finance director Brian Stockbridge hands in resignation

Rangers finance director Brian Stockbridge resigns from his post, the Scottish club confirm.

Rangers have announced that finance director Brian Stockbridge has resigned from his post within the club.

The Scottish outfit has parted ways with Stockbridge, who worked alongside former chief executive Craig Mather, who stepped down from the club in October last year.

According to BBC Sport, Rangers have claimed that "no ex gratia benefit or bonus" had been paid to Stockbridge over his exit.

Stockbridge was booed at the recent AGM, which proved to be an unsuccessful attempt for a rebel group to take over at the financially-stricken outfit.

Stockbridge was previously criticised for accepting a £200,000 bonus, which was eventually returned to the club.
