Neil Warnock says that QPR are "working very hard" to complete transfer deals before the final stages of the January window.

Neil Warnock has claimed that he wants Queens Park Rangers' transfer deals completed "as quickly as possible".

The West London side have been associated with a number of players over the past few months, with Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha being linked with a potential £2.5m switch to Loftus Road.

"We're working very hard behind the scenes - and we want players in before Newcastle," Warnock told the club's official website. "We've got options in a number of positions, but they're never over the line until the ink has dried on the contract.

"We've got so many targets, but I won't talk about specific players. I've had a lot of meetings over the last few days, but there's nothing more to announce at the moment.

"I think it's important to get our business done as quickly as possible. Ideally we'd have liked to have done it all in August, but the circumstances didn't allow it back then. I don't want it to all rest on the last day again, like it did in the summer window."

There are rumours that QPR's presence in the winter transfer window could diminish following reports claiming that club owner Tony Fernandes is considering sacking Warnock.
