Report: Tim Sherwood on verge of being appointed Queens Park Rangers manager

Queens Park Rangers are reportedly expected to announce the appointment of Tim Sherwood as the club's new manager within the next 48 hours.

The 46-year-old became the overwhelming favourite to take the role following Harry Redknapp's sudden departure last week.

Derby County boss Steve McClaren and Real Madrid assistant Paul Clement were also thought to be on QPR's shortlist, but both publicly ruled themselves out of contention.

Despite reports that Sherwood was struggling to agree terms with the club, according to Goal.com, the former Tottenham Hotspur boss now has the go-ahead to take over.

Chris Ramsey and Kevin Bond are currently in caretaker charge of the Premier League team.
