Harry Redknapp describes the four points that Queens Park Rangers have collected this season as "embarrassing".

New Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has been heavily critical of the points tally that his team have amassed so far this season.

Redknapp replaced Mark Hughes over the weekend with the R's bottom of the Premier League table and just four points to show for their efforts so far this season.

With QPR favourites with the majority of bookmakers to be relegated, Redknapp told a press conference that changes need to be made rapidly.

"Anyone should be higher than four points - it's an embarrassing total for the players," he said. "There is no good us kidding ourselves and saying that we've done great or fantastic. You can't be doing great if you've only got four points - it's impossible.

"How do you have four points from 13 games? It's unreal really. Something has got to be wrong and I've got to find what's wrong and put it right, quickly. That's the challenge."

Redknapp's first match in charge is a trip to Sunderland this evening.
