Mark Hughes insists that QPR have all the tools to beat former side Blackburn.

Queens Park Rangers boss Mark Hughes has said that his side have the tools to beat Blackburn Rovers this weekend.

Hughes, who spent four seasons in charge at Ewood Park before leaving for the Etihad Stadium in 2008, admits that he still has fond memories of his time at the club.

However, the former Wales boss expects his side be ruthless when the teams meet this afternoon.

"The Blackburn fans have always been good to me," he told the club's official site. "I really enjoyed my time at Ewood Park.

"It's a big game for both clubs and we're aware of what's at stake. We're under no illusions. There's not that a lot of games left this season. We need to win a fair proportion.

"This would be a good place to start. I feel confident that we have enough tools in our hands to be able to hurt Blackburn and score goals against them."

Meanwhile, Blackburn are coming off the back of a 7-1 defeat to Arsenal last weekend.
