Former Sunderland teammates Anton Ferdinand and El-Hadji Diouf have been arrested by police after getting involved in a fracas at a Manchester nightclub in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Doncaster Rovers forward Diouf was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder at the scene, while the brother of Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand, who plays at centre-back for Queens Park Rangers, Anton was questioned by officers yesterday.
The duo were allegedly involved in an incident where a 33-year-old man suffered injuries to his neck and head following a fight at The Circle Club in the North West area.
Fiver other men were also detained by police and have been bailed until May 23.
