Dunne facing lengthy spell on sidelines

Queens Park Rangers defender Richard Dunne has been ruled out of action for three months due to a knee injury sustained against Southampton.

The 35-year-old damaged the medial cruciate ligament in his right knee during the 1-0 defeat yesterday afternoon and is unlikely to feature again this season.

Meanwhile, fellow defender Nedum Onuoha is also expected to miss the next four weeks having picked up a hamstring injury against the Saints.

There is some good news for Rangers supporters, however, as prolific striker Charlie Austin confirmed this afternoon that he will return to action within the next fortnight from a foot injury.
