Half-Time Report: Crystal Palace in control against Queens Park Rangers

Crystal Palace open up a 3-0 lead over Queens Park Rangers in their Premier League match at Selhurst Park.

Crystal Palace have opened up an emphatic 3-0 lead over Queens Park Rangers in the first half of their game at Selhurst Park in the Premier League this afternoon.

There were few chances in the opening 15 minutes, and although QPR dominated the possession and showed plenty of attacking intent they could not get the better of the home side's back four.

The home side started to look more dangerous as the half progressed, with Scott Dann trying to get his head to a corner, but he could not get enough on it to nod past Julian Speroni.

Palace did break the deadlock a couple of minutes later though as Yannick Bolasie sprinted forward before blasting the ball forward into a packed penalty area, leaving Wilfried Zaha to lunge at the ball and bundle it in.

Alan Pardew's side continued to push and came close to doubling their advantage when Glenn Murray nodded the ball on for Bolasie, but his flick towards the goal was blocked by Sandro.

The home side added a second as half time approached when Bolasie showed his pace again before providing a low cross, which Rob Green could not prevent James McArthur from turning in from close range.

The Eagles needed just 90 seconds to make it three as Zaha charged down the flank before finding Joel Ward, who held off three defenders before picking out the bottom corner with a bobbling shot.
