Javier Pastore wants new Paris Saint-Germain deal

Argentine midfielder Javier Pastore wants to sign a new long-term deal with Paris Saint-Germain.

Javier Pastore has revealed that he wants to extend his current contract with Paris Saint-Germain.

The Argentine moved to the French side from Palermo in 2011 and initially struggled to produce his best performances in Paris.

However, the 25-year-old has been a key part of the team this season.

"The club spoke with my agent," he told El Flaco.

"For now, there is nothing concrete, but I do think that I'm going to extend my deal at PSG.

"It is my will and also that of the club. I'm not in a rush to hold discussions but I'm very happy in Paris. I have not talked to my agent about how long the deal would be, but the longer the better for me."

PSG travel to Barcelona in the Champions League on Wednesday knowing that a point would be enough to top Group F.
