Sissoko loving life at PSG

Ex-Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Sissoko has said that he is loving life at Paris Saint-Germain and is relishing the competition at the Parc des Princes.

The Mali international joined Les Parisiens from Juventus last summer for a reported fee of £7 million.

"I've played for big clubs before," Sissoko told ligue1.com. "I've seen great managers and great players come and go. Here in Paris, it's fantastic; the whole team has grown a lot recently.

"When there's a lot of competition for places, you tend to sit back less. Every position is hotly contested, be it in defence, midfield or attack, and I firmly believe this is a good thing for the squad. I'm relishing the competition."

Sissoko also spoke highly of new boss Carlo Ancelotti, who took constrol of PSG in December.

"He's a very cool manager," added the 27-year-old. "He doesn't worry too much. He doesn't panic. He's a coach who brings a lot of experience to the table. There's mutual respect between him and the players and that's super-important."

PSG are currently second in Ligue 1 and trail leaders Montpellier HSC by one point.
