Report: Preston North End closing in on Oxford United's Ryan Ledson

Preston North End are reportedly closing in on a deal for Oxford United midfielder Ryan Ledson this summer.

The highly-rated 20-year-old has shone for the League One outfit this season, making 48 appearances in all competitions.

Championship playoff hopefuls Preston are believed to have had multiple bids rejected for Ledson in January.

According to The Sun, however, a breakthrough has now been made in negotiations and Alex Neil is confident of recruiting the player in the summer transfer window.

Ledson picked up three individual gongs at Oxford's annual end-of-season awards including Supporters' Player of the Year.
