Portsmouth's Andy Awford rewarded with League Two Manager of the Month honour

Portsmouth boss Andy Awford has been named the League Two Manager of the Month the day after being handed a permanent role at Fratton Park.

The Blues announced on Thursday that Awford has signed a one-year rolling contract after taking charge in March.

During his first month in charge, the 41-year-old took Portsmouth out of relegation danger and into the middle of the table with 13 points from a possible 15.

The club sit 11th in the standings ahead of the final match against Plymouth this weekend.
