Portsmouth boss Andy Awford wins the League Two Manager of the Month award for April after being appointed permanent coach at Fratton Park.

Portsmouth boss Andy Awford has been named the League Two Manager of the Month the day after being handed a permanent role at Fratton Park.

The Blues announced on Thursday that Awford has signed a one-year rolling contract after taking charge in March.

During his first month in charge, the 41-year-old took Portsmouth out of relegation danger and into the middle of the table with 13 points from a possible 15.

The club sit 11th in the standings ahead of the final match against Plymouth this weekend.
