Jones joins Port Vale

Port Vale have confirmed that Daniel Jones has joined the club until the end of June.

It was announced that the defender had left Sheffield Wednesday by mutual consent earlier today, having not played for the club since November.

Jones cited the need for a new challenge as the reason for leaving the Championship side.

The 26-year old has previously had spells at Wolverhampton Wanderers, Northampton Town and Notts County.

Port Vale are currently at the top of League Two on goal difference.
