Plymouth Argyle have come from 2-0 down to secure a draw and a replay against Port Vale in their FA Cup third-round tie.

Conor Hourihane hit an early shot over the bar and Temitope Obadeyi had two good efforts, first firing wide before striking the post with a fierce shot.

However, Port Vale took the lead when Gavin Tomlin rose highest to head in the opener.

It was an even match after that, with both sides looking comfortable on the ball. However, the home side doubled their lead when Tom Pope powered in a header.

Despite being comfortable before the break, Vale conceded shortly after the restart as Reuben Reid pounced in the box to fire the ball into the bottom corner.

Obadeyi smashed over the bar and Hourihane went close, but the visitors got their equaliser and a replay when Ben Purrington curled a low effort past Chris Neal.
