Palermo confirm Napoli bid for Federico Balzaretti

Palermo general director Giorgio Perinetti has confirmed that his side have received an offer from Napoli for Federico Balzaretti.

Balzaretti has been liked with a number of European clubs this summer, including Juventus, Roma and Paris Saint-Germain.

"Napoli have made the best offer for Balzaretti, but like we have said so many times, the player's wish will be decisive," Perinetti told Sky Sport Italia.

"We will discuss this when Balzaretti returns from his holiday. I can say it is not only Roma and Napoli who want him.

"Federico has always said that he wants to stay or go to Paris Saint-Germain, so we will see if there can be alternatives to this."

Balzaretti put himself firmly in the shop window for a major move with a string of impressive performances for Italy during Euro 2012.
